PALERMO
In the world, there are no more towns like Palermo which had evidences about conquistatores's culture: from Roman to Bizantini, from Arab to the Norman, from Svevi to the French, from the Spanish to the Austrian, all left a particular track of their supremacy; there are evidences of a straordinary value, because the confluence of style and forms, from the Northern Europe to Africa, from MEDIOEVO TO Barocco, has often given life to original and artistic, architectonic, decorative making.

MONREALE
In this town, there is the Cathedral, a splendid church. There are many fountains, pictorial quarters, old and contemporary art, survival cultural tradition and ancient convent.


TRAPANI
It was under Chartaginesi's supremacy and only in the III century a.c. it was Roman. It was invaded by Vandali and Bizantini and had a flourishing age under the Arab. Trapani didn't lose its privilege under Normann, Genovesi and Aragonesi neither, who changed the town in a big business centre. Under the Spanish influence, Trapani began a gradual decline that continued with the Borboni.

SCOPELLO
A red rock looks to Orient, ventured on the gulf; Scopello's ancient village rises here ( Greek Skopelòs: rock)to few metres far from the town Castellamare of gulf, in the province of Trapani. Of the seventeenth century beam ( from the Arab bahal:place), surrounded by a few of leaned houses, a paved place, a fountain trough full of stones, in about 10 years it became a tourist destination.

SAN VITO LO CAPO

MARSALA
The actual name comes back probably from the Arab appellation Marsah el Alì, to testimonial of its importance as sea's town. To its port, one of the most important events of its historic linked: mille's landing in Sicily, conducted by Garibaldi. Marsala's port today is one of the most important of the West Sicily.

ERICE
An old situated on the mountain, it was an important town under Chartaginesi (its t5emple, very famous in the old time, was dedicated to fertility's and love's creed to the Astarte 's goddess, Afrodite's by Greeks and to Venere Ericina' by Roman) and after disputed between the Greeks for its richness. In its city walls , you can admire the fourteenth- century Cathedral, the Normann Castle, San Martino's and San Domenico's churches and the civic museum.

FAVIGNANA
A wonderful Mediterranean isle rich of perfume, colours and tradition. It is the biggest of Egadi's isles. The coast is full of rocks, but accessible mostly; along the south coast, there are many sandy beaches. The climate is mild with hot and long summer. The splendid blue and uncontaminated sea offers its fruit with generosity. In Spring, in Favignana's coasts you can make the "mattanza", the fishing of tunny.

MAZARA DEL VALLO
Rustic and seafaring centre of the sud-west Sicily ( province Trapani), on the Mediterranean sea, on the mouth of the torrent Mazaro, at the southern extreme of the low west plain, Mazara del Vallo must the reason of its origin and urban growth, its recent economic and urban development to the its presence to the river and to the natural form of the port.

SEGESTA
The most important town of the Elimi is placed on the Barbaro mountain, in about 4 km to Nord-Ovest from Calatafimi, in province of Trapani. Segesta, for his geographic position, had an important role in the History of ancient Sicily, in particular for the wrong relationship with Selinunte, eager to obtaining a release on the Tyrrhene's sea.

MOZIA
A "Greek pearl" on the sea in front of Trapani, the isle represents the Greek supremacy in Sicily, with its innumerable archaeological excavations in which the eye lost itself before to these masterpiece of taste and manuality. CORLEONE
It goes back to the origin of the Neolithic first phase, in the sixth millennium a. c. Corleone was called "Animosa Civitas", because it is always in the first line in all troubled battles in Sicily. It was at half of the civil road Palermo-Agrigento, it had the control of one of the principal and strategically roads of the isle

GIBELLINA
Destroyed by earthquake in 1968, Belice's valley was struck harshly. The ruins are visible, covered by a large veil of ploughed cement by cracks in proximity of the roads of old urban lay-out mostly. New Gibellina was built following a particular idea: restoring the town a sort of permanent museum with strewn sculpture in roads and buildings in operas of art.

SAN GIUSEPPE JATO
Il primo centro abitato è di origine punica e forse corrisponde all'antica Ietas costruita ai piedi del Monte Iato. Fu dominio arabo e resa roccaforte distrutta nel 1246 dalla truppe di Federico II di Svevia. Sulle montagne intorno a San Giuseppe Jato molti itinerari escursionistici.

SAN CIPIRELLO
Huge archaeological findings witness he presence of a built-up area since sicano-punic and roman period. The actual town goes back to the origin of XIX century. In 1838, a tragic landslide distructed more parts of the near San Giuseppe Jato and the inhabitans of the town migrated in the underlying zone. Important is the archaeological zone of mountain Jato, it was Chartaginei's, Roman's and Arab's dominion. In this town, are visible: the Theatre, the Agorà and the Afrodite's temple.
